I downloaded a couple of movies to save for later viewing and by the time I got around to them Netflix lost the license or whatever and now they've been removed.

Not to mention the stuff that's region specific and inaccessible.

I buy more Anime now as certain animes have been removed from the Funimation library.

When Netflix adds the movies again, they automatically go back to your saved list.

I hate how on Hulu, it doesn't delete it off your list. You go to watch it and then realize it's no longer available even though it's still on your list.

Is that what Netflix does on downloads? I know on the app they just disappear

I haven't had Netflix in years but here are some general streaming tips:

You pretty much have to treat streaming as only really for impulse watching. Anything you really enjoy, consider buying a hard copy of or getting elsewhere.

Go and see if your phone plan or ISP have some kind of free streaming deals. I know certain T-Mobile plans give you free Netflix, so if you're on that, check that out. They don't make these kind of things obvious. Amazon Prime Video is pretty legit these days, it's actually my favorite one now, and that comes with Amazon Prime. So if you or your spouse/parents/drug dealer have that, check that out.

That's exactly what netflix does. I was gonna watch this cowboy movie from the 90s while sitting at the airport lounge, when all of a sudden it wouldn't let me download it. I search and search only to realize that the movie has disappeared from netflix library in its entirety. Kinda irksome.

Better trick: Gmail addresses have a hidden feature where you can add a plus to the end of your address and give them that. Unless they're designed to detect that, most systems will see that as a distinct email address. So sending mail to [email protected] will forward to [email protected] and Netflix won't be the wiser.

It's a good way to deal with possible spammy places, and you can just block all incoming mail to your + extension to get rid of that problem.

Never actually tried that with Netflix though.

I've had cases where I put a movie on my Netflix list, it gets taken off of Netflix, then at some point in the future, Netflix puts the movie back up and it reappears on my list.

That's a shame. Internet is really garbage here, so I've just been using it as a way to watch shows and movies on my phone on the go.

Pretty sure it does, otherwise I would have made a ton of accounts for just the free trial month. In that span of time you could watch all the shows that netflix has to offer since it's such a sparse collection now.
