Decent start to a collection. I've got a few of the same books as well. Michael Crichton, LotR, Frankenstein, H.G.Wells, etc.

I used to love living in Chattanooga because there's a used bookstore called McKay's that has the cheapest yet best selection you can find anywhere. People show up with boxes of books to sell everyday so their inventory is always rotating. I'd go once a month and find something new for a couple bucks. I miss it hardcore.

Yeah, we have a Books Revisited here in MN and that's where I got some of them, like LotR, One flew over the cuckoos nest, etc. All are like, $3 at the most.

I have that same issue of Spawn! #4, and it includes the coupon which makes it worth something.

Man that issue blew my little kid mind when I got it. The arms chopped off, the heart in the hand.

Spawn, Hellboy and The Goon are my favorite series. And yeah, I agree, that issue of Spawn was nuts. Couldn't believe they were able to have that much gore.

Yeah, I keep shuffling that and War and Peach to the bottom of the pile lol. Mostly because I have so many other books to read that it kills my OCD to sink so much time into one book when there are so many sitting there unread. But it'll be my first Ayn Rand book so I can finally see what everyone loves and/or hates about her and her work.

It's amazing. The only other epic poem I tried to read was Paradise Lost and I wasn't a huge fan, but so many of the lines in the Divine Comedy are beautiful and the narrative itself is entrancing. I could only really read it in short bursts though, maybe 10 or so pages at a time.

War and Peace is the longest book I read. The storytelling is nice. It's nothing epic overall in terms of what happens. I like how it is written and how everything unfolds.

I hear it's amazing. Also, I believe it and Atlas Shrugged are in the running for longest commercial works (both are over 500,000 words, and Atlas Shrugged is nearer 600,000 from what I remember).

Honestly, I wasn't a fan of The Hobbit when I read it, but I feel like I should at least give the first LotR book a chance to see if I want to read the rest of the series.

How did I get so many? Turns out they're really cheap, and people will give them to you too. It's called "tsundoku"
