WTF, is that really the ending? Might be one of the most shocking endings ive ever seen in a video game.

First Sarah died and i was like holy shit, i kind of thought it might happen but still was a shock they actually did it, then Noel realizes he killed the goddess and then the darkness comes in and destroys the entire world and everyone in it and history and time itself ceases to exist! like HOLY FUCK. I got chills realizing what happened. Caius won in the end, he got exactly what he was trying to accomplish.

When it came out everyone just complained about it even though 13-3 was already confirmed.

Also, some I'd the optional endings explain some events a little better. They're worth the time to do imo

I actually really like the ending, made me like the game even more tbh. Is lightning returns worth playing for the story? The gameplay doesnt really seem appealing to me

I liked LR well enough but it's worse than 13-2 imo. It's a different type of game where you're using a lot of time management. Beyond that it's mostly "What's this character up to now" for everyone in the series. It reminds me of X-2 in that aspect. You do manage to get conclusions to everyones story arcs even if you may not like how they all end.

lighting returns; 4/10

massive amount of hours to complete (it's worth it).

I originally wanted to play 13-2 because of all the dlc colosseum battles, but now i am not really feeling motivated to keep playing

I tried a couple of the colosseum battles and they seem like complete bullshit. bosses have like 10 million hp and are way stronger than anything. I would likely have to spend 5-10 hours grinding to stand any chance at all. Im probably just gonna move onto another game
