Artisan1990 03/03/20 1:19:04 PM #7:	I love Kojima, have loved all the MGS games I've played (TS, 2, 3, 4, 5, PW) and I love Norman Reedus and GDT. I bought DS at launch full price. In that regard, you will find plenty of people who will have vastly differing opinions on whether or not it lived up to their personal level of "hype". --- Hey Trashcan Man! But thats mostly because it built a whole lot of hype due to the mysterious nature of the way information was released. Good luck finding a reliable source for video game sales totals. It seems like that kind of information is no longer for public consumption. If somebody has a resource for that kind of thing Id love to see it. The main issue I saw with it was that it seems like Kojima tried to make accommodations for the average video game player, and this alienated his core fan base. The difficulty was a joke. Hard in DS should have been at most normal, with at least a couple of significantly more brutal difficulties. That might have put it over the edge to make it a masterpiece in the eyes of many, all though most people still wouldnt like it. He basically made the experience less enjoyable for some by trying to appeal to the masses who werent going to like it anyway. It also became a bit of a meme to dump on it.
