RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) -- North Carolina's Supreme Court has declared that "flash-bang" grenades often used by law enforcement officials are weapons of "mass death and destruction.''
Friday's decision reverses an appeals court finding that flash bang grenades found in a man's car after a traffic stop were not devices capable of causing mass death and destruction as outlined in North Carolina law.
The appeals court said such devices must be capable of causing catastrophic and deadly damage.
But the state Supreme Court noted that the language in the law defines a weapon of mass death and destruction as "any explosive or incendiary" bomb or grenade.

It makes sense within the definition of the law. Flash-bangs are not wholly non-lethal. They can kill if they detonate too close to someone.

Fireworks are, or were last I checked, illegal in Georgia and I don't remember seeing many/any fireworks store signs in NC when driving through so it wouldn't surprise me if they were

Did that car have a gas tank? Those typically contain a substance that under certain circumstances can combust. This clearly means that a gas tank is an incendiary device capable of destruction. Moreover, a car is a delivery mechanism which can be used to not only place the incendiary device in a position to effect maximum damage, but also doubles as means to inflict massive blunt force trauma and crushing damage.
Ban cars!

Is the cartoon Sinbad movie illegal there? (NC)

I hear it was a box office bomb, but even still I'm sure that the Eris Goddess definitely made some explosions that killed millions in many peoples pants.

For those that havent seen it here is the movie with just her scenes. Spoilers of course.
