Its all the lead up to it and the fallout after. My gran broke her hip last night. Shes 80+ and in hospital and now due to have surgery. Apparently even if all goes well life expectancy for someone her age with this sort of surgery is 2 years on average. Its just scary like waiting for the surgery and seeing whats gonna happen after and probably wont be the end and just a slow decline. Makes me hope when I die its nice and quick and done and dusted. Anyone else have this sort of feeling?

Yes.

I have lost a ton, but oddly, most were very quick. Like here today gone tomorrow.

The only thing I can say about a long illness is you do get a chance to say goodbye.

If someone dies without a Last Will, that can be hell on earth.

Yeah I saw my Mum die on her deathbed. It's not like the movies. Just closed eyes, labored breathing that is kinda traumatizing, a warped face and the odd surge of life that you don't really want to see because you want them to pass on.

It's fucked up.

But dying out of nowhere is also fucked up. One day you feel all good and well and the next day you're dead and everyone else is left to pick up the scraps.

Death sucks.
