its been like 3 years since my last replay. this is probably the 10th time Ive played this shit and I still find it engaging. the first hour is really boring on replays though

everyone please tell me how overrated you think it is and how it isnt actually even a game.

I've only played it once but probably will play it again at some point. Even more so with The Last of Us Part 2 now coming out. I'm not a zombie game fan but this game offered a lot more than that and is more about survival than anything with a engaging story.

Ive played it a handful of times and Ive always found it engaging and fun. And I didnt even play it until the remaster on PS4 was out for a while.

the worst part of every escort quest in games is that NPCs have terrible survival instincts and constantly get themselves killed. They absolutely made the right decision. How annoying with it be to be playing and being super badass sneaking around taking out clickers with shivs and broken bottles, only to suddenly be overwhelmed by the entire level because Ellie ripped a wet fart.

I started it up last night. I picked it up a second-hand shop on the weekend. I haven't played it for years, since the game was new. It is so far as good as I remembered. Fantastic acting.

One of these days I will either get myself a Playstation to play it or hope PC gets a port of it.

I agree that it took me out of the game a few times. An AI improvement could have at least reduced that.

Once I beat Days Gone, I'll get back into TLoU. For some reason, TLoU got frustrating to me (not because of the game, but because I sucked at dealing with clickers).

At least in Days Gone, there are almost always multiple approaches to a situation. If you're failing at melee combat, you can pick people off at range. If there are snipers, you can sneak around and flank someone. TLoU is a great STORY, but the combat feels overly scripted and linear (which I hate, in general).
