Not shocking coming from you, you have zero idea about common decency. Open your mouth and say "Hey I wanna recline." to give some warning at least.

Lol, youre one to talk about common decency. Sorry, if im on a 10-15 hour flight, the extra few inches really helps for sleeping. Im tall, and I dont bitch when the person in front of me does it. Its expected.

They should just remodel the planes so your tray isn't on the seat in front of you. That was a dumb design choice from its inception.

Yea they should try and utilize those classroom style tables that slide in and fold down. Theyd have to come up with some sort of concept for middle seats but Im sure it wouldnt be that difficult. Having your tray connected to the person in front of you is just outdated and dumb.

Yes, which would kinda make it the dude's fault for not thinking about that beforehand. A precautionary measure I personally would have taken because knowing my luck, shit like that would happen.

No it isn't. There are absolutely no reasons to recline. It doesn't make things comfortable, all it does is make things worse for whoever is behind you. It has been a few years, so maybe people have gotten more sociopathic but it used to be that maybe 1 in 6 people would recline. Though there is little reason to believe you or RebelElite since the type of person who'd recline is likely not going to be very aware of their surroundings.

My statement wasn't open for debate because it was factual. Whether you disagree is irrelevant. I recline because it does make the flight more comfortable for me. Which means what you just said was, again, factually wrong (because it's an opinion).

With that being said, whenever I am flying, I always look back and see what the person behind me is doing prior to reclining. If they are actively using it to eat, I'll wait. If they have something on it, I'll recline slowly. I'm not an asshole about it, but I have never once asked nor been asked to not recline my seat.

Again, nobody has ever complained or cared on any flight I've ever been on. So it's not a problem until it becomes one. If it annoys someone and they want to sit there and fester about it, that's their problem and maybe they should man up and say something next time.

Changing your seat angle does not address the issues that make flying uncomfortable. The issues are a lack of room and being stuck in one place for a long period of time. What reclining does it change the angle of your back, it doesn't provide more space for your legs, it doesn't change that you are seated and it doesn't let you start moving around so your body doesn't have issues. What it does do is reduce the space around the legs of the person behind you and make them more cramped and reduces what little space they'd have to move even further. As such, there are no reasons to recline. This isn't an opinion, it is an irrefutable fact.

What is with people bringing those giant lap tops on planes space is already at a premium why would you bring some fragile unwieldy electronic device with you. All you will be doing is being a nuisance to those around you as you try to get everything situated especially if you are in coach and the noise from typing and the light the screen puts off just annoys those around you. If you need to do work so everyone will be in awe of how important you are just get a smaller laptop or use a tablet. This is basically karma at work one annoying guy falls victim to another annoying guy.

It does for me. I wish you were around on my flights to remind me I'm wrong and that my back or neck doesn't actually stop hurting when I recline and that I'm just hallucinating it.

Well no shit, that's the point of reclining is to change the angle of the back. I don't care about leg space as I'm not a tall person.

Go fly first class if you want to cry about lost leg space. The only thing you stated that was a fact is that you lose some room when a person reclines. Everything else was an opinion.

ps - Included a pic of how negligible the leg space lost would look like for most reclined seats on an Airplane. :)
