Several House Republicans walked out of a closed-door coronavirus briefing Friday with Trump health officials in protest after a senior Democrat blasted the Trump administrations handling of the response effort. Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-Conn.) kicked off the briefing sharply criticizing the administration as disorganized and lacking urgency in combating the coronavirus, lawmakers said. Her speech frustrated Republicans and some Democrats assembled to hear from the slate of officials from the CDC, NIH and State Department. "If I wanted to hear the politics of it, I'd read POLITICO or something, let's be serious," said Rep. Paul Mitchell (R-Mich.), who was among the walkouts. A handful of Republicans began booing almost immediately after DeLauro raised concerns with the administrations efforts, according to two people in the room.

Trump and the Republican party are going to end up getting a lot of Americans sick and killed because they simply just don't care and only one that matter is if they get reelected and keep their power while making a profit while not getting hand cuffed and being thrown in prison.

A governor knows how to manage and allocate resources effectively, which is what's needed for a situation like this. Doctors should be a part of the team, but the person running it needs to be someone with great management skills.

Mike Pence gets unfairly shit on just becasue he's very religious. If someone who was an atheist was promoting being charitable, helping the sick, loving/accepting your neighbors, etc., you would cheer him on. But when someone like Pence promotes those same values, and the only real difference being he does so because the Bible tells him to, he gets criticized and ridiculed.

Republicans have been kool-aid drinkers for decades and the Bush era neocons made sure to stomp out any wrinkles in the ranks. There are few remnants of the time when the Republican party stood for any bipartisanship. Mitt Romney is a dinosaur even in his own time, clinging futilely to an ideology long since smothered and suffocated.

That would actually significantly improve the character of those running. You'd have to be brave and willing to risk it all to implement what you want.

I dont see most of the cowards running things risk their own money very often, let alone lives.

Population control is a real discussion. There are many mouths to feed, and most people don't want to break their comfortable habits. Thanos saw this and put a plan into action.

We have chemicals in our food, pharmaceutical companies pushing questionable drugs, healthcare being harder to come by, education taking a backseat to military/prison(soldier or slave), whistleblowers being persecuted, transparency being discouraged(like with GMO labeling), farmers being pushed out of the game, journalists being attacked, fear/hate mongering, etc...

Basically everything is to keep Americans sick, angry, dumb, scared, confused and too medicated to even find a way out on their own.
