The Hollywood actor is suing the publishers of The Sun and its editor over an article that says he was abusive to his former wife At a pre-trial, Mr Justice Nicol heard 70,000 text messages that were "accidentally" disclosed to the defendants The lawyer representing the newspapers said the texts are very damaging to Mr Depps case The messages included text sent to actor Paul Bettany in November 2013 in which Depp wrote "Let's burn Amber. Let's drown her before we burn her!!! I will f* her burnt corpse aftwards to make sure she's dead" He continued with "i'm gonna properly stop the booze thing darling...Drank all night before i picked Amber up to fly to LA. Ugly, mate...No food for days..Powders..Half a bottle of whiskey and thousand red bull and vodkas, pills, 2 bottles of champers on plane and what do you get? The defendants said the significance of the messages is that Mr Depp's case is that he was not drunk on that flight while Ms Heard claims he slapped and kicked her and threw is boot at her before passing out on the toilet There was also texts from Depp's nurse during a 2014 "detox trip" to the Bahamas when she said he was "manic" and full on "flipping out" and said he was angry with everyone but especially himself. But Depp's lawyer says none of these text is a smoking gun that he was ever violent to Amber as they heard a taped confession of Heard that was damaging to her testimony as Depp denied ever abusin gher.
