My family has a history of diabetes on my dad's side, and I've been eating like shit since Friday - I had to travel to Sydney for my sister's wedding and cone home Sunday, which meant a lot of fast food, and ever since Monday I've been drinking my way through the alcohol I didn't drink at the wedding. I told my friend about the diabetes thing, and he's seen me drink 500ml of gin, four schooners of cider and 1.5 litres of 5% wine since Monday. Dude works in a chemist, so he asked me to come in and get my blood sugar tested.
I'm not very fit, and those bottles of Moscato were worrying me - only being 5%, and being as sweet as they were, I'm sure they were loaded with a fuckton of sugar. And my dad's diabetes has been weighing on me. I just got tested. Ideal blood sugar level is 5.0 according to him, and he tested his own blood sugar this morning and got 6.9. I got my blood tested, and... 4.0. I'm below the threshold. Keep in mind, I drank that Moscato and those ciders last night. That shit must be loaded with sugar. But my blood sugar is relatively average. I'm really stoked about that. --- So you don't get to be a saint, martyrs never last this long Now Playing: Skyrim, Final Fantasy X-2 ...
