(californian if it matters; first time voting, too)

i have no party preference, so i mailed my initial ballot with a request for the democratic party ballot a little over a week ago and still haven't received anything

??

You can always go down to the Registrar and cast a vote in person. Either touchscreen or a paper ballot (paper ballot recommended). It will be a provisional ballot but assuming you're not involved in any electoral shenanigans otherwise it will count.

IIRC this started a week ago.

still haven't received it

ugh, really don't feel like waiting in lines and voting in person, but i guess i'll have to

-

on another note, is there any simple way i can see non-biased, concise summaries of all of the local officials and propositions that i'll be voting for/on too (again, i'm californian)?

cause otherwise i'm completely ignorant on everything (though yes, i do realize that you can just leave stuff blank if you want)
