For instance, something like socioeconomic philosophy or advanced mathematical concepts require actual critical thought to comprehend; raw memorization won't be very helpful.
Whereas something like capitals of the world's nations, abbreviations of the chemical elements, etc., pretty much necessitate rote memorization because it's just raw data. I'm trying to make a list and study those things. Any suggestions? ... Copied to Clipboard!

Depends on what you're going for, but anything where the subject requires breadth versus depth. Once you get deep into a subject a deep understanding is required to excel.
