I dont believe Bernie can beat Trump with the rhetoric he chooses to use nor do I think he will get anywhere close to what he wants passed. I would still support and donate to him if he wins though.

And stole? What did she steal? If its ideas....wouldnt you them to be passed?

The point is she is dishonest. You can't trust her to maintain those ideals once she is in office. A lot of Bernie's stuff won't get passed, and I don't agree with him on a lot of things. However, I know he'll be fighting for the people.

Polls indicate Warren fares worse against Trump than Sanders. Otherwise you're just basing this on... what, exactly, other than conjecture? A vision, an extremely complicated logical deduction the rest of us are intellectually incapable of performing? Wishful thinking?

Bernie will fare worse once he gets the brunt of the attacks to be honest, and his supporters are not gonna do him any favors with the rhetoric they use.

it's weird how some people think there's no way bernie can beat trump, when i think the opposite is fairly self-evident

bernie's the best suited candidate to beat trump... i've felt that ever since clinton lost in 2016. man, i thought back then. bernie was the answer all along... bernie would have smoked this guy.

it's weird to me, too, thinking bernie can't win, but elizabeth can. i'm pretty sure elizabeth's shot at the white house was ended with that dna test. i have so many friends who hate trump and refuse to vote for warren because of the native american thing. it's just not going to happen.

Honestly thinking either Warren or Buttigieg will have a better chance against Trump than Bernie is just plain wrong. Polls show otherwise, neither of them have a base as excited and dedicated as Bernie, they're both struggling with money right now, mediocre to awful support from minorities etc. And you cant really bet on people voting for them because they're not Trump anymore.

Their bases overlap a decent bit because of all the low info pmc voter signaling.

Bernie has absorbed 2 elections worth of attacks from every major news outlet and has emerged with the largest, most diverse and engaged coalition.

Warren on the other hand can't even poll above viability without constant puff pieces and media love. Her campaign knows it and has cried about being erased. Imagine what'll happen when she has to face an actual attack beyond stale pocahontas memes and snake emojis.

Many politicians are, he's just especially bad at hiding it. If you think Warren and Pete's bases overlap for policy reasons then you've got some homework. They appeal with tone and resume to casual observer pmcs. Go to the dem general topic and watch Covyx state this as a reason he's drawn to them and hates Bernie. It's the reason you have some gut feeling that they can get things done. He's a failed mayor in his 30s ffs.

I was defending Warren when you hated her last year, but now that the anyone-but-bernie options have shrunk, you've turned into a supporter. Shows the depth of your analysis. All of the electability data will be flipped upside down when Trump calls Bernie a socialist for the 1000th time. Wishful thinking.

1. I never hated Warren, I hated her selective proposal of breaking up Amazon, yet not addressing Walmart/Target doing the same thing (selling products based off spending habits of its consumers)

2. You arent a doctor and the fact that you so casually throw around the word sociopath shows just your sophomoric understanding of the term.

3. Bernie, Warren, and Petes plans will never be fully implemented. I trust that Warren and Pete will be able to go left enough to get things accomplished.

4. Only Bernie supporters I have issues with are the ones who have to use toxic rhetoric (like yourself) and fail to even self reflect in the tiniest bit (whether you do that idk, but youre toxic af)

You're so toxic. Why are you so angry and passionate about having healthcare and not seeing your family die from drug price gouging.

Can't you be civil with me as I explain to you that I have a vague gut feeling that we shouldn't push for first world heathcare? I treat politics the same as casually rooting for a sports team. I'm a spectator of a horse race, why are you taking this silly game so seriously?

This is pmc pushback 101 and why a candidate with Pete's rhetoric is stuck with wealthier white voters.

If I was rooting for a sports team I wouldnt be supporting Sanders if he won the nomination.

And how fucking dare you imply I just casually sit back. I work for a fucking non-profit that one of our goals is about increasing pediatric access to healthcare. I have previously worked as a teacher and continuously volunteer my time to children of low-income families.

you are so fucking toxic and warped that you continuously try to put me in nice little boxes because you find it too hard to think of people as complex.

warrens campaign is pretty much dead at this point unless a miracle happens and pete is going to have to struggle against the increasingly choking "I'm the candidate of compromise" position that's dividing itself in like four different directions right now. I don't think you'll have to worry about either of their campaigns after the primary at least

This actually doesn't surprise me at all. In my experience there's a huge correlation between technocratic neoliberal leanings and working in the private non-profit sector. Buttigieg and Warren both exude powerful technocrat vibes.

And I'm a black elementary teacher at a poor black school in the south. Spare me. The fact that you make topics against medicare for all and questioning if you even want universal healthcare programs proves you care more about your position in that nonprofit than actually helping these kids. That explains a lot.

Teacher unions are supporting Bernie because, as educators, we see the struggles these kids go through. You support a candidate actively hostile to modern universal heathcare that would help these kids because you can't get over being dunked on by bernie bros in 2015. Pathetic.

I make topics against Medicare for all? I question if I want Medicare for all?

I have not done any such thing. I question the feasibility of getting it passed and the way to get to that goal, but I am not against a national Medicare system.

I was a teacher also in a low income district and I am also a person of color so

and I dont say this as brownie points or that Im a good person for doing so. I took offense to you saying I dont walk the walk when I do.

Now whether I am good at it or right about it is a different story.

It was titled something along the lines of "hmm I'm not sure if I even want a universal healthcare system." Again your position in the private non profit explains a lot.

I will dig for it if it's still not ringing a bell.
