There is no way in hell Cemu was developed without the use of a leaked dev kit. You don't make a Wii U emulator running full speed in a year without one. Look at how long Dolphin took to develop. I don't believe Exzap is some one man army coding/reverse engineering god, even though that's the general opinion of him. What I saw screamed dev kit.

Also I find it stupid how emulator developers refuse to use dev kits. I mean, you've seen the results, right? All this copyright stuff is arbitrary, the end result is the same, and we've seen there are zero consequences since no one can prove you referenced something you shouldn't have access to.

Wouldn't post this on an emulation reddit because they would probably roast me. They don't like when user-peasants criticize developers that make free stuff for everyone and their ethical decisions.

It's kinda hard to say since I haven't followed Cemu at all. Some of the good emulators of the past like no$gba just popped up outta nowhere practically over night. On the other hand, I think it's kind of implied that a lot of emu development is probably illegally done but they aren't just gonna come out and say it. The same way they know that 99.99% of the users aren't manually ripping files off discs and bios out of consoles. They just google a file and download it because it takes 2 seconds.

On the other hand maybe a lot of the emulation systems are just modified version of systems that were used to emulate other consoles. Again, I don't know enough about Cemu.
