I live next to a guy who thinks he's in charge of telling me when to do my household chores. He thought it'd be cool to loudly bang on the door of the car I was sitting in and tell me to go bring in the cans from the curb. Not the first time he's done something like this. Managed to hold my tongue back until he went inside.

That probably wasn't too entertaining of a story, but if you've got one, by all means, would love to read it.

Damn I would have no tolerance for someone like that, I would just say excuse me? Who the fuck are you? Then tell them to piss off but at least he doesn't play loud ass rap music all day everyday like my old neighbor used to. I like rap but hearing the same fucking bass bumping over and over is annoying.

He closed the outside/screen door and not the inside door from what I could tell, so he probably could hear me running my mouth after he went inside. I feel slightly bad about doing that and not just calmly telling him it's not his concern. Most people are more assertive than I am, though. I'm a Quaker, so I guess I'm being a stereotype.

The lady that lives below me has a dog that barks literally nonstop from 4p-7p every single day.

The lady before that tried to burn the building down.

The girl two tenants before her had wall shakingly loud parties 3-4 days a week that often didn't end until after I'd left for work in the morning.

Another lady who used to live in the building had several small children that she did not supervise. They'd run around the building banging on doors or ringing buzzers and run away, tried to break into people's storage areas. The lady would stand outside our window screaming into her phone at all hours of the night about how much she hated her children.

Someone living near me feeds pigeons so we have to deal with pigeons around our house constantly it looks like The Birds outside at times.

My old neighbours in a block of flats used to knock on my door asking for money or to use my phone, had a huge dog in a no pets building, smoked out on the landing and were obviously involved with drug dealing or buying (saw them a few times get into cars in their pyjamas then drive round the block and come back again)

My neighbors are cool, but their whole damn family (They are cousins, and one of them had another cousin as a roommate before, and the other had his brother housesit a few times) seems to have this odd genetic condition that makes them highly averse to closing doors without slamming them for no reason >_>

city laws vary. if a dog did that excessively the owner would be visited by a police officer around here.
talking hours of it. not something like normal dog barking.

as far as loud music such as party's. it's allowed until 11pm before it becomes a disturbance to neighbors.

The guy who lives below me has some kinda mental health issues. He definitely gets a check every month and doesn't have a job. I can often hear him screaming at his caretaker (I think) and his radio is almost always going. And he chainsmokes cigars, I can smell that shit in my apartment.

geez. As expected, most people have it way worse than I do. Thought I'd blow off steam, tho'.

Not anymore. We used to have neighbors with annoying dogs next to us, though. They weren't very nice people, and their one dog got free and bit me once when I was minding my own business in my yard.
