Haven't played: 5, 12, 13, or 15

I liked 1, 3, and 8 well enough. I wasn't a huge fan of 2

Won't ever play: 11 and 14

For me (not ordered after the first one): 10, 5, 9, 12, 15

Only one I haven't played is 6

4, 8, 10, 14

Actually torn between 3 (psp version based off the ds version), 6, and 12. That they double sequentially is also interesting. @_@

i agree with your list for the first 4. not sure what i would put as number 5. i played all of them besides 5 or 13+ oh and then of course never bothered with 11 or 14.

3 and 4 were both good. 2 i didn't really care for either and didn't like 8 either but i do wanna give that one another chance. 12 i didn't really like either even though i put 30+ hours into it trying to like it.

so it's between 1, 3 and 4 but i think i'll stick 1 in for some OG love. was a good beginning even though 30 years later it is a pretty basic game but it was what birthed this whole series.

Probably 6-10 (haven't played 11 or 14 or much of 15). 8 is controversial, but I'd take it over the remaining options (5 and 12 are close enough).

Crazy how 9 is on everyone's list. I hated 9 lmao

I think it's merely ok. Mad props to everyone who rightly sees XIV as a top tier FF game though.

But my controversial/edgelord hot take has always been that 6 and 9 are the only great games of series (up through the PS2 era).

Ive tried it and the combat is SO boring that I couldnt make it very far. I was actually going to give it another try on my Switch last week, but they want freaking $40 for it. If it was $20, I would be playing it again right now.

I totally understand, tbh. It's got a lot of flaws but they're not nearly as bad as what people make it out to be.

It has flaws but I enjoyed it. I hear the two sequels are really good on the gameplay front, been meaning to play them.

I had way more fun with 13 than I expected (because of the way people talk about it), but I couldnt make it very far into the second one. I just really disliked the whole you only get two characters thing.

They're not my favorite, but X and VII would be next. They are very memorable, even if I didn't like them. XIII probably gets the next spot, I really liked it but it has some serious flaws. Then IV and I, solid RPGs for their time, I has a nice story hidden behind a lack of expository and some killer music.

6 - best story and great characters
7 - my first FF and very iconic characters
9 - great tribute to throwback old school FF that I didn't fully appreciate until I played more of the older games
10 - don't remember much except that I liked it
4 - I played the DS version and liked it. Also made me appreciate 9

Edited to add that 6 and 7 had the best music.
