I had heard that this was coming, but as a proud Eagle it still wounds me. The victims of the abuse and subsequent coverup absolutely deserve justice... but god I hope this doesnt kill the organization that has done so much good and gave me some of the best friends and memories of my life.

I guess no one all that reliable. My friend said their activities were super boring when she was a member, though.

This whole thing upsets me. I was in Cub Scouts, wasn't allowed to join Boy Scouts because my brother told my dad, "It's a little rough." Held the organization in high esteem, and then years later the sexual abuse claims started happening.
It's everywhere, isn't it? Adults in positions of authority are fiddling with kids, doesn't matter which profession or organization. ... Copied to Clipboard!

All the Eagle scouts I know loved the Boy Scouts and say nothing but good things.
