You shouldn't use a laptop if you want an optimal gaming experience. Though you should be able to get something decent if you limit yourself to 1080p or 1440p.

I presume my time here in my darkblack dragondark steel-obliterating solitude has come to its end as well.

What kind are you looking for and how much are you willing to spend? Something entry level, mid level, or top of the line? If entry level the popular consensus is the Acer Helios 300 and Lenovo Legion Y540.

Probably an MSI with proper cooling. If you get an Acer or ASUS prepare for the CPU to constantly thermal throttle, making games run choppily.

$1500 will get you a pretty powerful one, especially if you're only playing games at 1080p. The PC board can probably give you better pointers on picking one out than CE can. Just let them know your budget, what you want it to be able to do, and why you want a laptop over a desktop.

Build a time machine, travel forward about twenty years, and buy a cheap walmart laptop.
There you go.

I hate when people scoff at the thought of getting a gaming laptop. They pricey, but the convenience is best for me. I use my Xbox for most games anyway, PC for exclusives and mods.

anyway, I have an MSI and I love it. Newegg is the best place to purchase btw. They have everything on there.

Gigabyte Sabre series has done me very well. Plays everything I throw at it, though it is starting to struggle with games released last year on max settings. I don't care about 60FPS/4k so if you're the same you should be happy with it. Great warranty policy too, being a gaming laptop the fucker will cook itself eventually (yeah, its not just a meme), but they'll take it and refurb it to new condition no questions asked.
