It's just so greasy and sugary. I used to love this stuff now I can't stomach places like Dennys or IHOP. The eggs are greasy. The hash browns are greasy. The sausage and The bacon is of course, greasy.

Even the toast is greasy. And I ain't even talkin' about the french toast.

Then you've got the sugary pancakes and syrup, the waffles, the sugary breakfast cereals, all that stuff.

Is there a better alternative?

My breakfast is like 1/4th the size of the one in the pic, max. Like if I have pancakes I literally have 2 of them, with nothing else except whatever toppings I put on them

the only bad parts are the toast and the amount of butter they have on it
otherwise it's really not that bad for you
and eggs, bacon, and sausage are all fucking awesome

If you're getting that kind of breakfast from diners and restaurants, of course it's gonna be bad for you. The portions are always way too much and they're made as unhealthy as possible to remain delicious. An egg omelet with veggies inside with fruits on the side or even whole wheat toast with a healthier spread ain't that bad for you.

You can also make protein pancakes, too. You don't have to be the epitome of health, just cut back on portions and/or choose healthier alternatives. Even if you go to diners, just eat half of it and save the next half for tomorrow morning.

i've relegated it to an every other sunday sort of thing. it's great if done well and is something i will never give up completely, but it is definitely something that you don't want to be eating a majority of the time if you care about your health.

if you want a big hearty breakfast that is actually healthy, try scrambled eggs with tons of good veggies like onions and bellpepper or spinach and garlic and sundried tomatoes, and lean meat like diced turkey lunchmeat instead of ham or bacon, and no cheese, and put it with a side of steel cut oats with fresh fruit and nuts. that is my go-to breakfast these days, and it is great cuz it is healthy, tasty and filling.
I have to say, eggs with bell peppers and onions and garlic sounds absolutely delicious.

Why sundried tomatoes instead of regular tomatoes?

sugary
I thought this was the whole point?

That's why Americans started adding sugar to all their food products. Gotta get you hooked to keep buying food and eating oversized portions.

Its flabbergasting that vegetable oil is marketed with those fucking heart healthy stickers. That shit is toxic in a bottle with no redeeming benefits.

Doesn't it come from vegetables?

Ive developed such a second thought about it I just dont eat breakfast AT ALL anymore.

I go straight to lunch, then try and follow 8-hour time restricted eating.

Socially accepted breakfasts are pretty much bad for you. Its a shame. The fat and oils from meat are good for you but often when you buy a meat breakfast item its loaded with sugar and sodium. The bread items are not good. And fruit is fine in small quantities. Forget dairy. Its weird but a nutritious breakfast should be healthy meat, a fruit, and veggies like any other meal.

*TC complains about sugary stuff.*

*Proclaims he might try more fruit.*

Fructose has a correlation to leading to liver damage.

Eating more fruit is good (to a degree obviously), they're great sources of important nutrients and it's pretty unrealistic to expect to sit around munching on asparagus or whatever all day to get them from alternative sources. What needs to be cut out is the other sugary stuff.
