The r/PS4 subreddit recently concluded its "March Madness of Iconic Playstation Characters" tournament, so I thought I'd post the results here. There's a lot of questionable, low-tier characters included, but it's fun to see how the results differ what you'd see on Gamefaqs. Participation was quite low, likely because you had to click on a new post for each vote. There was an average of 558 votes per match, which is not a lot considering that there are over 3 million people on that subreddit. But anyway, here's the results:

Round 1 match averages for comparison to later rounds:

Raw Votes - 15561
Registered Users - 8552
Anonymous Users - 7009
Percentage of Registered Users - 54.96%

We should find out rather quickly if removing most of the turbofodder results in higher vote totals for round 2, or if the percentage of registered users drops off due to anonymous users being less turned off by the forced voting.

As for the tiebreaker question, we are on track for a total of 1976247 votes based on the round 1 matches.
