Yes to both in general as is mobile banking. Problems can happen with any type of banking though so banking in general isn't 100% safe but it's a small risk and the security measures are good enough for me. I love being able to see my transactions without having to get a statement from the bank and other things.

This for me. I use Bank of America and have not needed to speak to a bank teller or associate in years. I still withdraw cash via the ATM but deposit my checks either via direct deposit for work or via the mobile app. If I do need to resolve an issue, I just call/chat with their customer service.

I have applied to a few credit cards online and have not had any issues with them. Granted I am mindful of when their 0% APR promotions are over to avoid any interest fees.

APY is an orthogonal question, good investments are available electronically and and through older communications.

I just realized I completely misunderstood the TC's questions about APY. Banks are probably safer compared to other forms of investments but the APY is so low that I feel even with the potential ups and downs of other forms of investments, you'll still gain more in the long run compared to the highest APY that a bank will offer.

I have CDs with online only banks (as long as they're legit and have FDIC coverage, should be fine) and review my checking account online. Don't do any shit on my smart phone with apps, though. Don't trust that. And would never remove money from an account online other than to move it between my accounts.
I have in the past transferred significant chunks money from online only banks back to my checking account / main bank (only to return it afterwards), solely for the peace of mind of making sure they actually....you know...give me my damn money back. But they always have, and that was probably just me being too paranoid.

Yes. I still like having the ability to physically go to a bank for services.

Also, to deposit checks. Don't trust an ATM with that.

I hate people that dont do it. When I had to go to the bank to get change for the laundry machines at my last apartment it always took so damn long because there was always a huge line of people having the tellers paying money to their bills that they couldve done themselves if they attempted online banking.

I like it and use it. Its very convenient. And I can see all transactions, deposits, withdrawals, etc... And it works really well. I can also freeze my account if something is wrong. I see no real downside, tbh... Both online and physical have their good and bad points. But online just seems better to and for me...
