DarkChozoGhost 02/11/20 1:33:52 PM #1:	Nintendo considers Link and Zelda, in general, to be a couple. Yes, there are certainly exceptions with specific incarnations or the two. And no, this did not used to be the case, it is a relatively recent development. Cases where it's blatant they get together: LoZ/AoL Link with AoL Zelda. TWW/PH Link with Tetra ST Link and Zelda SS Link and Zelda ALBW/TFH Link and Zelda BotW Link and Zelda Hyrule Warriors Link and Zelda (non canon) Cases where there's some implication of romance: FSA TMC Cases where there's no implication at all and up to headcanon: ALttP/LA OoS OoA FS Cases where they distinctly don't get together: OoT/MM TP As you can see, earlier on in the series' history there wasn't much of an implication of romance between the two. People used to point out that most of the time, the pair is NOT a couple. But around the 25th anniversary, the series was changing it's image to really emphasize the legend aspect and the never ending cycle of rebirth, it's clear the two are meant to be destined for each other. In addition to all of this, HW, ALBW, and BotW cement it as part of "the legend" itself. The stained glass windows in ALBW depict a romance between the two as part of the legend. An NPC talks about Zelda spending hours staring at that particular tapestry. Hyrule warriors is non canon, but Cia watches the legend unfold throughout the ages, seeing the two are destined for each other. BotW has ~~the sacred power that dwells within the princesses be unlocked through their connection and love.~~ It's not always the case, there will probably be Zelda games in the future where they're not a couple. But the current vision that Nintendo has for the series includes Link and Zelda as destined lovers. --- My sister's dog bit a hole in my Super Mario Land cartridge.
