it looked cool and I happened to be browsing when it was put out so I got hyped on amazon and pre ordered it. Idk, I might keep it. Have a switch downstairs and upstairs

Is it a newer model compared to your other one? The first year Switches had weaker battery life.

You can spend significantly less money and just buy a second dock >_>

Since you already have a Switch I would cancel. I don't think it looks amazing or anything. Just buy a cheap AC skin for it.

BUT if this was your first Switch or maybe selling/gifting your current one, then maybe.

If you have a day one model, keep the pre-order for the updated battery life, transfer everything over from the old Switch, then sell that one. I know GameStop pays $150 for old model Switches but you could probably get more if you want to go through the effort of directly selling it, like eBay or Craigslist or etc.

I thought day one models were worth more, if sold to the right people?

Finding those people is getting harder and harder plus if you do it over ebay there's always the risk you get scammed out of your money.

Like I saw one auction on ebay the other day where the seller included a 128 GB SD card, and it only had 7 bids in 10 days and sold for $317 USD + $25 shipping (the seller set the original bid at $250). Factoring in the selling fees and Paypal fees and the person selling it obviously didn't make any money based on what they originally paid, even if it was still higher than what GS would give them.

If you can afford it, I say get the new Switch and either sell the old switch to someone who will use it for "alternative means" or learn how to use it for those "alternative means" yourself.
