I have said stuff like this to users too, sometimes it's good to give them some little task they can do on their own to boost their morale when they run into PC issues

They just close the lid, and open it again the next day. Month after month without a restart or shutdown, and then wonder why it's so slow.

Ah, had a guy demand a discrete graphics card for his shitty work computer. All he does is use Office, and Chrome. Also apparently he demands a monitor with an hdmi connection, no VGA allowed.
