I gotta ask, Where the fuck is the Rhedosaurus?

The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms was the cinematic inspiration for Godzilla. It's a Warner Bros. flick. Now, you have Kong and Godzilla both in a shared Warner Bros. universe. Why not have the Rhedosaurus as a starter opponent for Kong before he faces off against Godzilla? Ray Harryhausen seemed to begrudge Godzilla copying his and Ray Bradbury's idea, but I'm sure he would've have been elated to have seen his Rhedosaurus pitting against King Kong; the monster which sparked his interest in special effects and sewed the seeds for his career in the field.

Even if general audiences weren't aware that it was from a 1950s monster movie, simply having the Beast from 20,000 Fathoms as an opponent would fit right in with the world the MonsterVerse has created. It's not like a carnivorous quadrupedal dinosaur would be out of place. They wouldn't even have to speak his name. It'd just be the geeks like me who knew that he was the missing link between Kong and Godzilla.
