To think that Liberty Insurance likely paid some advertising company an exorbitant amount of money to create their marketing campaign and this is what they come up with.

"How about we just say the title of their company four times?"
"Brilliant!"

It sticks in your head, doesn't it? That means it was successful.

You remmeber the product. It also makes you talk about it. As successful. Remember, being part of the conversation, positive or not, is the goal.

Those arguments would be true if it was a drink or something, but it's literal insurance. People rarely buy that, and if they do they look for the lowest cost, who cares what the company is.

This is what baffles me about advertisements in general
YES, the goal is to get you to remember them, but as Underscore pointed out more often than not it makes me want to *not* buy their product.

There's actually been studies done that show how Millennials don't respond to ads the way their parents and grandparents did

https://www.forbes.com/sites/andrewarnold/2018/01/21/millennials-hate-ads-but-58-of-them-wouldnt-mind-if-its-from-their-favorite-digital-stars/

According to a recent study conducted by the McCarthy Group, 84% of millennials stated that did not like traditional marketing and, whats more, they didnt trust it.
And they really are not viewing or listening to it either. They dont watch traditional TV, preferring instead livestreaming, video-on-demand on such platforms as Netflix and Anime. And YouTube is actually the most-viewed platform for video. In fact, another recent study from Defy showed that 85% of their Millennial respondents regularly watch YouTube.

To put it another way, Millennials don't like hearing from the company itself just how great and amazing they are, but from friends, family, and "influencers" i.e. online personalities.

Makes sense. We grew up during a time when better options for researching what products are good started to become more widespread. We don't have to rely on just advertisements anymore.

I see it as directly attributable to this.

It's just another further decline of any sense of creativity, which has become overwelling nowaday.
I can still remember jingles from the 80's. That is viral marketing.
