I buy N-95s and R-95s on a regular basis cuz I work in pest control/building maintenance, and need them for work. I go to Home Depot today, and they said they've been sold out since last week cuz people are buying them all up from the stupid coronavirus.

So that's nice. I can't get necessary PPE for work because people are lunatics. That's fair.

It's doubly stupid because the Snake Flu isn't airborne in the way that wearing a mask would protect you

Also to stop an airborne virus the N95 would have to be properly fitted

I do ordering for a pharmacy and even the suppliers are sold out. I had to go our dropship supplier and they only had one super expensive brand left with a 3-5 business day ship time.

Yeah same. Our normal distributor sometimes runs out of them based on their supplier, but they told us they won't have any for a few weeks. Hence why I went to Home Depot, thinking I could get like a 2-pack or something.

My side job is to set up an accounting system at different retail stores and one of them happens to be a small Medical Store and holy shit was it a mess for them. By the end of the day they got a grand total of 483 calls about face masks with majority of the people asking for facial masks being Chinese. Some were cool, but many were angry like they were suppose to have a crap ton of them on hand (looking at their sales report, facial masks barely flew off the shelves before this virus thing happened). The worst part about it was that their distributors and suppliers blocked off all retailers from ordering any face masks and announced they were prioritizing hospitals and government buildings and that even the back orders will be prioritizing them as well. Man, not even tax season was anything that these guys had to deal with. I really do feel for those who are trying to get it for their love ones in China, but for those panicking about it in the US really need to stop and actually read on not only how to use the N95 masks, but if the facial masks in general are good enough to stop the virus.
