Man Im surprised by the quality of this show, it seems pretty wrapped up though

For a show I only started watching a couple months ago, I got into it more than any show in quite some time, its just so likeable and relatable.

but I suppose all good things must come to an end

Watching the finale it's like we're all Eleanor trying to cope with Chidi leaving.

I knew right away the problem with having a door out of the afterlife is how do the people left behind deal with it, but I suppose anyone who's made it to the Good Place is at a point where they're capable of handling it.

Side note: who'd have thought it was possible to tear up while watching an EDM dance performance.

I thought it was a good finale but I was surprised at how NOT sad I was actually. They all got to do everything they ever wanted and then fade away, nothing sad about that!

I just watched this finale last night, so I'm a bit late to the party. I was nervous about them sticking the landing, because this season has felt somewhat uneven/Flanderized at times. Holy Mother of God, though, this was better than I could have ever anticipated.

It was an immensely satisfying and bittersweet sendoff. Jason being the "first domino to fall" within the group made perfect sense, since his ability to act on his instincts was his biggest strength in the afterlife (albeit harmful on Earth). And then right as this episode seems to be set up as a gradual farewell to each character... Tahani decides to stay, and all bets are off! Beautiful storytelling.

I also told my girlfriend "DONKEY DOUG OR WE RIOT" before watching, so I was hyped as hell about his cameo. As well as Mindy, Simone, etc. They intertwined them all incredibly well.

Absolutely up there with Breaking Bad and Community as one of my all-time favorite finales.
