I decided to play through the game again for the first time since I've beaten it. Been playing it for a few hours and I'm already super invested in the characters/story.

It made me remember that, for years, I've always liked the GTA games for different reasons than most people I knew. Ever since GTA3, I've always praised the games for their writing and shit, and no one knows what I'm talking about because they don't really play it for the story lol

I love the stories in GTA. The betrayal CJ felt. And the new family he builds when his world is destroyed. I liked in GTA IV when Karen was asking Nico if he was in the war and what it was like. How Tommy Vercetti kept his mouth shut and went to prison for 15 years, and when he gets out they essentially set him up to fail again. I feel like they were going to kill him no matter what he did. The dynamics between Frank, Trevor, and Mike were excellently played, in my opinion. But they should have given a little bit more meat to Franklin. At the end of the day though, Frank was a guy that was all about his people, no matter where they came from. He's always looking out for someone else, even if he pretends that it's all about making money and looking out for himself.
