I played enough of it. @metroid_composite can vouch for this: I can get all Activision-Blizzard games free due to having familial connections there. He forwarded me a resume a while back, and it looked pretty legit, yeah. (Having worked for Activision for several years, there were a number of fairly obscure studios on the resume that not a ton of people outside of Activision would know about). Back when I worked for Activision, there were perks like much cheaper games, but there was still a small fee associated with them (basically paying the cost of printing the disk, so a game that sold for $50 at retail we could get for $10 or $20). Makes sense that they'd give some downloadable stuff out to employees for free now that DLC is a thing. (I left Activision a decade ago, though, before there was much downloadable stuff, so I can't really confirm that part, but it seems like the logical continuation of their 00s company employee perks). --- Cats land on their feet. When Kotick made that infamous line in 2010, he was discussing how all the way back in 2000 he had a vision about how video games should in no way be about having fun. I've been telling you all Blizzard is indefensible for 20 years. I know some of you are good at math, so you can figure out what that means for yourself. I have no clue why it took them going full communist and botching the Warcraft 3 remaster for people to finally realize I was right all along, but better late than never.
