...their untimely death?
It was a big discussion in the bar last night. The criteria is thus: Somebody who has retired, but not too long retired. So basically someone of a similar age to Kobe and known worldwide. I don't think any will top Kobe at this point. I've never seen so many grown men cry in my life. He was too young to die, but old enough to be people's hero. Basketball is huge, and the sport itself is very star-centric. So many people pretended they were Kobe. I never seen that with anyone outside of MJ who is 56 at this point.
