They work pretty well up until about 38, then it gets confusing. You start getting into less common ones like L, C and D and it kind of becomes a question whether you can subtract two levels, and what order you're supposed to subtract in, and what happens if you add and subtract back to back.

Of course there are rules that solve all of this but most people don't know those rules. They just know how to count to 38.

Plus they're lame and way overdone now anyway. If I were iterating titles I would just go Thing, Thing 2, Thing 3. Would be cool to go Thing, Thing Two, Thing Three for the novelty of it but then they would sort out of order alphabetically.

Hey I wonder if there's ever been a series of media titled/subtitled without iterators but in such a way that it sorts in release order in any reasonable bookstore/game store/etc.

Like if I named a trilogy Thing of Coolness: Ascension, Thing of Coolness: Daylight, Thing of Coolness: Supremacy.

Oh hey. I guess Borne did this for the first three installments haha.
