There's something about their style that reminds me of me and my friends getting shitfaced and having conversations.

I like the whole "informational" podcasts too, but this one is definitely my favorite.

Serial killers, cults, paranormal shit

It's not like your typical true crime podcast, it's more like 3 dudes with distinct personalities getting together pounding beers and talking about this stuff.

They have a straight laced one who's obsessed with death and despair (Marcus)
A completely batshit insane one who makes jokes the whole time and talks about his love of Satanism but gives you information too (Henry)
And the host who has no idea what's going on but he learns as he goes along (Kissel)

It's not a podcast for everyone, but it's definitely that older edgy Millennial male humor. It's long winded and they take a loooong time to get through the story sometimes, but it's like drinking some beers with the guys and having a 3 hour fuck around conversation.

honestly one of the worst podcasts i've ever heard. gave a few episodes a try and had to turn it off after a few minutes

Satanism as in tongue and cheek aversion of to religion. Although Henry is scarily getting obsessed with L Ron Hubbard lately. He likes the whole money making scheme aspect of Scientology.

I liked it a lot for awhile but I'm only interested in the paranormal, conspiracy and occult episodes. Serial killer stuff bores me.

The cult stuff is my favorite

I've listened to LPotL on loop for about 3 years now
I must have listened to each episode 5 times each, some of my favorites over 20 times. It's hard to listen to other podcasts because they are so good.

I listened to like 4 episodes of HH Holmes and was like "wtf is this even"

and I've listened to almost every episode since. I think Ed Gein is probably my favorite. I can't stomach some of the more serious ones

I like things like True Crime Junkie out of interest, but LPotL is just so fucking good that I get giddy every time I see a new episode.

i love lpotl enough to own a couple of shirts for it. its definitely in my top 3 podcasts up there with the dollop and we hate movies

one thing i have noticed though is that my opinions on the hosts have basically reversed over time though. i used to think henry was way too over the top and annoying and enjoyed ben's bewonderment at every subject, but overtime i've come to recognize that henry is basically the backbone of the podcast and i think that ben is kind of a moron. listening to his political side project podcast didnt help

Ben is kind of just there to make comments, he's playing the role of you listening to the podcast being in the studio with Henry and Marcus.

Marcus and Henry are the true back and forth guys and they do the research.

I like them, but at least one of the hosts is a little too into the conspiracy side of things.

What I like now is that Henry is definitely the yin to Marcus' yang. I think when he first started doing the show he thought he was going to be on it for a little bit then go do the whole comedy actor type thing, but now that they have a Spotify contract he's definitely taking his role more seriously.

His research is really thorough like Marcus, but his different personality just makes it work.

I love conspiracies and murder podcasts but tbh I didn't care for this podcast when I gave it a shot. Didn't dig their humor.

I liked it for a while, but they get a little off the rails a bit and seem unable to focus. I'll just listen to some of their episodes, but not every one of them like I used to.

I just listen to a lot of True Crime stuff, and I like those people a bit more now since they get to the point and it's not 3 people talking all over each other

Yeah, well don't like hanging out with loud and drunk people, lol. But I get it. Like I said, I really enjoyed them for a bit, but I have no found some that are more calm and to the point so I'd rather listen to those
