It was a mistake for them to reveal it that early. All they had was an idea of an FE and SMT crossover and didn't really finalize it into an actual game. It set a certain expectation to fans despite how minimalistic it was, and then we get...Tokyo Mirage Sessions. An idol game featuring Fire Emblem-based Personas.
