For some reason I just dont find games fun anymore. Maybe it's the type of games I'm playing on the platforms I play on which are PC and ps4. I've also taken weeks off from games but still feel the same. Maybe it's time to buy a switch.

I get that. In the past few years I've tried going back to Nintendo games to "bring the fun back" as you said. It works, but overall I just don't have that much time for gaming anymore and that leads to lower interest when I do have free time.

As an adult you may find the pickup and play aspect of it exactly what you need to get consoles back into your life. The fact that you can turn it on, start a game, grab the console and play it a little bit later while you're taking a dump or whatever, put it to sleep, drop it back into the dock, and play it again on your TV later is definitely a positive feature.

It seems a trivial thing, but there's something subtle about the amount of time it takes to actually start playing a game on console versus PC that definitely has some sort of effect on wanting to use one or the other.

Personally I struggle to get into more in-depth games at my age but I still try.

Giving up and just resigning yourself to having drifted from gaming is the worst case scenario.
