Police say a Detroit man with a Wyandotte warrant wanted to turn himself in, but the police department said they didn't have a judge available and to turn himself in the next day because it was a minor defense.

The man reportedly walked out of the lobby and straight to Rite Aid where he grabbed a tall boy beer and walked up to the counter. He then drank it in front of the clerk.

Police say he never offered payment and told the clerk to call the police because he wanted to get arrested. He then waited for police to arrive and demanded to be arrested.

Doubt Rite-Aid is going to go through the trouble of filing charges for one beer, when the cops show up they would just let him go, need to assault someone if you really want to go to jail ASAP.

I see people here in my city break the law all the time in front of the police. 9 out of 10 times they don't care. Usually they are on there police computer or cell phone, or talking as a last resort for wasting time.

trespass order first. that's how they did it at safeway. banned for 1 year from that particular location if caught shoplifting.

this is obviously a troll post but Ill bite anyways. Reports are taken most of the time for shoplifters and porch pirates. A lot of times people dont want to do a report. Because when a shoplift happens at a Victorias Secret 100 times a month with no suspects or anything. It becomes detrimental to the store, because they dont have the time for it

Thats true as well. We normally dont arrest unless the warrant is over 1500 or violent.

In NC they now have some kind of price range quota.

I worked 3rd at Walmart from 2002 to 2008 and seen some shit after 2:00 AM.

The police eventually got tired of having to show up for folks that got caught stealing a pack of hotdogs or sneaked a single beer from a six.

At worst they'd lead you to the door and tell you to get lost.
