same tbh, just finished a new computer like 2 days ago and I have a 970 evo plus, it's crazy how I used to be fine with hdds until I got this lol wtf so fast

Exact same as me. Evo 970 finished 2 days ago. It's crazy. I love the amount of storage I get with my traditional HDDs, as I will likely never be able to afford the 30+TBs I have in SSD form any time soon, but mechanical drives for loading the OS. This thing is ridiculous.

And it sounds like they are maybe using NVMe in the new console systems. This is madness!

I upgraded my motherboard and CPU recently to account for one. Looking forward to finally adding one. My standard SSD is only around 500GB so I'll wait for a 1TB to be cheap.

That's exactly what I did as well. As soon as I could get the EVO 970 for cheap enough, I grabbed the cheapest most decent Mobo that had an NVME slot and built the new computer around that. It's nothing super special, 9600k, 16gb RAM, didn't even upgrade my old 750TI gpu(a little tapped out at the moment).
