EWJ games were quessental 90s games. The art style, humor and weirdness came out at the perfect time for me and became some of my favorite games for their uniqueness, variety and that it was animated so amazingly well. The level in EWJ 2 where you could mold the level to your liking with your gun blew my mind at the time and what other game had a boss fight where you win by breaking their bungie cord? Amazing, one of a kind games.

Want a bad version?
Try the Master System version.

Didn't the PC version get some stages cut or did they add them back?

The Genesis version was the first version to be released.
The Snes version removed the Intestinal Distress because of censorship, and the PC version lacked it because they had problem porting it.
The Special Edition and PC version got two new levels, New Junk City Part 2 and Big Bruty.

Changed my mind on the break. Lol. Buttville.

This music is literally buttrock. >_>

Didn't know about the cut stage. But I payed 4 dollars for both these games together so I'm not complaining. Man, all this is actually making me sort of nostalgic for the TV show. I'll never forget my disappointment when I woke up one morning and realized WB cancelled it and had it replaced with Sylvester and Tweet Mysteries. >_>

I beat the game on difficult.

Really the worst was Tube Race. If you didn't know about the hidden fuel supply (indicated by the air bubbles) you were pretty much screwed.

I dunno. Theres not a lot of depth in the traditional aspects of the game, like shooting or platforming, but I sort of appreciate how experimental it tries to be in its challenges.

i honestly think thats kind of the problem with it. the game does a ridiculous amount of things so attention ends up being spread really thin to its mechanics. it reminds me of battetoads

No i mean, i remember when i think EWJ 1 and 2 came to PC, EWJ 2 was missing stages that were also in the SNES version, so i wasn't sure if that was intended or an oversight because it seemed weird...

Actually just checked the wiki, apparently the PC version lacks Lorenzen's soil?

Finally beat the game lol. Butt Queen was surprisingly easy. The hardest part was just...jumping onto to moving platform. But once you're there she's a pushover.

And wtf at these credits lol

Might was well start up #2

First one was hard as hell. I never made it past the tube race without somehow cheating.

Second one was easier though.

I remember playing the first game a bit as a kid, but never getting past the first level. Out of curiosity, just watched playthroughs of both games.

God it looks like all sense of fun just dies anytime that dog (Pete?) shows up.

I can sort of see this. Im pretty sure these games are going out of their way to be annoying sometimes lol.

Lol. I never got to the puppy level in the first game before this playthrough. But I remember the ones from 2 giving me a headache as a kid.

Speaking of 2, I must have rented this one a lot more when I was little. Almost every level is triggering hardcore nostalgia. The weird granny elevator chair. That weird level where you float inside a cave as a blind salmander while moonlight sonata plays in the background. That annoying isometric flying level.

i made it up to the second Peter Puppy stage before I had to give this one up today. Also, this one doesnt have a password system. Dang. >_>

Nope, I've played the PC version. The music was the PSX version, so high def CD quality and everything.

Finally beat Earthworm Jim 2!

In surprised that the level I remember getting stuck on as a kid was so late in the game. I could never catch the door in ISO 9000. I must have been a dweeb for not figuring it out. >_>

On the other hand, the last level was stumping me before I gave up, looked at a longplay, and remembered Jim had a parachute move. <_<

The ending was great lol.

Finally did it. Finally beat these games from my childhood. Woo!

I've owned both the SNES and PC versions, and they both had the stage as far as I recall. I remember because I always loved that song and was impressed by the remastered PC version.

My memory could be wrong though, it was a long time ago. I distinctly remember the HD version of the level music though, and that's the only stage I would have heard it from other than ISO 9000
