This is such BS a girl in hangry. It's a mini can of pringles too ffs. I could spend 2 minutes and walk down to the store and get a bag for 99 cents but effort

Just stopping by to say whoever decided those prices has a bad crack addiction. I see the point of convenience (7-11 thrives on this business model) and charging an extra 50 cents or dollar and a half but $5 for a snickers? Thats why people shoplift.

Someone warned me they use weighted censors and if you pick up the items for more than 30 seconds it's just charged to your room whether you actually eat it or not

Yeah it's pretty fucking silly. Vegas hotels are notorious for this. Like fucker I'm not paying 7 bucks for a bottle of water when I can walk 5 minutes to the Walgreens and get two big jugs for less

Literally the first thing I do when I know I'm going to be staying at a hotel for 3+ days is go to local grocery store and stock up

My wife and I had a similar thing a few years ago. She was participating in some conference in Baltimore and we traveled down there, but couldn't afford to stay in the ritzy-ass hotel that the conference was being hosted in lol. We ended up staying at some budget hotel in the shady part of the city cuz it was like $99 per night instead of like $220 a night.

So we had to get all dressed up and fancy in our bedroom that had a broken TV and weird stains on the sheets, then walk 15 blocks to this giant luxury hotel so she could give her presentation and act like we were somebodies lol. They did have a big after-party dinner where we got to meet John Waters which was cool.

The real highlight though was that we got to steal a bunch of biscuits and desserts in our pockets/bag on the way out lol.

Last time I was at a hotel, I had one of the largest suites in it to myself. Had a full kitchen with stove, microwave and dishwasher and living room with a couch, TVs both there and in the bedroom. I wasn't there long though so I didn't get to utilize it to its full potential. They even had this "write down your grocery order and we'll get everything for you" which would have been awesome if I was there longer. Didn't get any food because I had leftovers from dinner at a country club and the overall stay was less than 24 hours. I didn't have to pay for any of it either as it was for a family holiday get together (I didn't even have to pay for any of the 8 drinks I had at the open bar at the country club and I out drank my stepsister's bf this time after he won last year).

The suite didn't have a view like that though. Just a huge mall across the street that was the only thing to do in the area and I have never even bothered to check it out because never any time :/

Welllll all I know for sure is that the room is 100% paid for but any extras added on are not. Dinner is paid for as well as the most important part ... the bar tab

when it comes to food, anything short of buying from a grocer is a ripoff

any diner or restaurant will charge like 2 bucks for a medium drink, while you could grab a 2-liter from the store for less than that. convenience stores are no better

I've heard about this as well but never been anywhere that had them. There is probably a small blip about it in the fine print of your room invoice that you "accept" when you sign for your room so that's what makes it legal I would guess

I dunno. Bad teeth can be INSANELY painful apparently. And infections in the mouth can spread to the Sinuses or Brain and can have knock on effects that lead to or contribute to various other conditions like Depression, Heart Disease, Cancer, Dementia and Respiratory problems.

It's kinda fucking insane that Dental isn't part of every healthcare plan. It's kinda fucking, obvious that something in your head, that is what you eat with and is near your brain, eyes and methods of respiration is important to keep healthy.

Depends on your lifestyle and how easy it is for you to control I guess.

Last hotel I was in I had a nice set up. It was in Rome and all the cleaning people were African women. I guess that's their niche over there.

Anyway, I was the only other black person in the hotel most of the time. Most of the other guests treated the cleaning people as if they were invisible. But I would manage a "buongiorno" or "buona notte" if I saw them and open doors for them, smile etc.

Had free prosecco bottles (minis), Moretti beer and Orange Fanta put in my room every day for a week. At least 2 bottles/cans of each. They would put them under my pillow.

Hotel Medici if you're ever in the neighborhood. Roma Caput Mundi!
