This is basically what the TC made the topic about but went the feminist angle instead of what actually happened. Hell the topic should have been "Alex Navarro hates the fact the Ghosbusters is being rebooted again"

If they'd made a feminist sequel, it would have been a success.

People would have seen a female lead Ghostbusters movie for the sake of seeing the surviving originals make cameos. But when you throw out the past continuity in favor of a remake, that's when people get defensive.

Make the lead character Egon's daughter and tweak the plot so that it's a new team of Ghostbusters. Boom. It's a financial success. But, no, we're sexist for liking the original cast of fun and memorable characters or wanting to see their story continued.
