Water and energy efficient appliances only work poorly in fiction. When he talked about water efficient toilets he was explaining a King of the Hill episode from over a decade ago.

Ya, goes on a rant about light bulbs and brings up CFL light bulbs which was 15 - 20 years ago. Pretty sure we've graduated to LEDs at this point.
