BBC is reporting on this now. Apparently Warren is sticking to her story:
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-51101676
But later on Monday, Ms Warren stood by the allegation in a statement. "Among the topics that came up was what would happen if Democrats nominated a female candidate. I thought a woman could win, he disagreed," she said.

The vibe I got from the last election is that a good chunk of the senior male demographic fears having a woman in charge. I live in a red-as-fuck state and I've flat out heard statements such as, "Women are emotional and would start wars if insulted."

If by some fluke the Republican nominee was female and the Democratic nominee was male, I believe 60% of senior male conservatives would vote Democrat, refuse to vote, or do a protest vote (a third party candidate, "Mickey Mouse," etc.). But where does that leave liberals, or perhaps more specifically liberal seniors, when it comes to voting for a female candidate? Was Hillary unpopular because she was female or was she unpopular because she was Hillary?

I think it's a great embarrassment that America has never had a woman president. I really, sincerely do. I'm not one to hate on the US. I take a bit of pride in my country. But we are about the only major nation that has never had an official female leader. In that area, America is kinda like someone who needs to move out of his mother's garage. It's the single-most backwards aspect of our nation that we've not yet given a woman a fair chance to lead.

You clearly never heard old Republicans talk about how much they loved Palin back in the day. These people turned into the modern Trumpers.

Those people liked her more than McCain. He was always seen as a moderate by the hard right people and now they hate him (despite dying and being a war hero) because Trump does.

so did you believe that they would nominate Palin over McCain for president? because they didn't tho.
and this means they still nominate a man that they hate over a woman like Palin.

The majority had no idea who she was until she was selected as his running mate. She was picked to appease the far right. The moderates made up the majority of the party until Trump took over. He only took over because the moderates ate themselves and ran shit campaigns until it was too late to stop Trump. Once his guys took over the moderates were forced out.

Why is it 'shameful' weve never had a female president when there have barely been any viable female candidates? We shouldnt elect someone just because they have a pussy. And whoever said that was correct, the right went crazy for Palin. Hillary got her parties nomination in 2016, she just lost the election. And before that we had a half black president, along with multiple hispanic candidates. Id say we are making progress, not something i would be critical of the US for just because so many entrenched politicians are old white guys. Thats clearly changing and will continue to do so.

Warren and Sanders are just in a competition to see who can offer the most free shit to losers. And the rich overwhelmingly pay the most taxes in this country even with their tax breaks, while nearly half the population doesnt pay any income tax at all.

Why do you think it's been the case that so few women have had the sort of careers that can lead to running for president?

Again, it has nothing to do with whether a woman can or cannot win. The point was that old conservative Republicans will in fact support a woman. That's the only demographic we're discussing here. Not whether or not a woman can win, just that your statement here:

Does not bear out on reality. Palin is also not the only successful female politician from the GOP. A lot of people think the GOP hates women, non-whites, etc. But it loves the ones that will support their ideology. There are popular woman, non-whites, etc. in the GOP because they tell the white majority of the party what it wants to hear. It's not complicated really. Just like how they hate white males that don't tell them what they want to hear. It's not a simple race/gender ideology, that's just part of their overall ideology.
