I went to schools in the ghetto and schools in the suburbs. There really was very little difference between them.

I preferred going to schools in the inner-city as the kids and teachers were less shady. imo. Suburban kids act strange.

elementary schools were average suburb day cares

middle school was shit

high school was a mixture of thugs and rich kids. good resources for exceptional students as well as those with special needs. so many people. However I floated through the cracks.

At the end I went to one those schools that no one takes serious. Half the chicks were pregnant. I took computer classes and one day some kid came in and asked if anyone wanted to play football. So I just went outside and did that. Never came back to bite me in the ass. Aside from me now being an overall dumbass for the rest of my life. Point, LaS.

You're better off asking my parents, but for what it's worth, I was smarter than ~98% of kids my age growing up.

have you ever heard the perception that homeschooled kids are usually socially awkward? do you believe that?

I was home schooled from 5th through 8th grade and I never really got the socially awkward thing. There are plenty of awkward people in public schools too, so idgi

Yes I do, because I am still socially awkward as an adult approaching middle age, but YMMV per capita

Primary school was middle/upper middle class
Intermediate school and high school were in poor areas (poorest 10% of the country for economic deprivation)

High school was actually pretty good as far as teaching and opportunities. Ive got a good number of classmates who went on to good professional qualifications at good universities (engineering, medicine, law, pharmacy, etc.)

I went to school in a pretty poor rural area. The teachers weren't great, but it wasn't too bad of an environment. I don't remember much in the way of bullying going on at all.

Depends what you mean by good.

My HS was great at educating students and setting standards for work ethic. But you had guys like me who really didn't care about school, so I ended up graduating right at a 3.0, when I probz would have had closer to a 3.5 at any other school. But that's my own fault, so I won't use that as a negative.

What I disliked about my HS was the teachers and other staff loved exerting their power. They were very good at making us aware that we were wrong because we were kids, and they were right because they were adults. Maybe that's just a mentality that develops in any person's mind when they work with bratty teenagers and young adults for long enough. But something just really felt off about it to me the whole time.

I did. I was taught by teachers who were educated, fun, and passionate. My classmates were also great, and fights almost never happened. The schools I went to were pretty well-funded too. I had a very privileged educational upbringing.
