EON doesn't know what the hell they're doing with James Bond. Back in the 90s, GoldenEye 007 on N64 was some of the best marketing they'd ever had. Today, they're too concerned with chasing trends and not offending people. Of course they can't be bothered with licensing out video games.

True, but look at the mythology they could draw from. As many characters as there were in GoldenEye, they could have twice or thrice as many and with online multiplayer. Some characters could be exact movie licenses. Others would resemble the character without resembling the actor who played them. And it doesn't have to be locked into first-person shooter gameplay either -- although that might be the best route for multiplayer action.

It's a waste to sit on an IP like 007 and do nothing with it besides turn out a movie every four years or so.

If this was the PS2 gen we'd have three John Wick Max Payne copycat games by now. The only one interested was an indie developer.

007 seems like one those games that would finally come back and completely bomb. Literally nothing good about it hasn't been done to death by now. There is nothing original left in the package to make it shine in today's climate. Not to mention, the best game in the series aged like dog shit. Has anyone tried to play it lately? I have. Id literally rather play anything else.

But if it does actually happen. I hope they prove me wrong. I'd never actually wish for something to fail. This is just my gut feeling.

Nah I think he just means that GTAV on PS4 is a port of a last gen game, not a current gen game.

All of those are current gen technically although Wii U is last gen for Nintendo.

None of them had a new GTA.

Technically we're in the 9th gen with the Switch and the One X and Pro are updated 8th gen consoles

IMO however, the Switch is still an 8th gen console with how quickly the Wii U dropped out and we're still in that gen, go figure
