Obviously there's tons of other sci-fi horror movies, but of these, what's your favorite?

I love almost all of thse movies, but for me, it's probably between The Thing and Sunshine.

I feel like Sunshine is the better "horror" movie, but The Thing is better overall as a movie.

Sunshine has some of the best cinematography of any horror movie I've ever seen though. Holy fuck is that a beautiful movie.

See, a lot of people complain about the last third of Sunshine, but I still really enjoyed it, and think it fit well with the overall message of the film.

Also Event Horizon could have been absolutely incredible if the director hadn't been forced to cut so much out.

I thoguht about including Pandorum, but honestly I hated the editing for that movie. >_>

The story was interesting and it had a lot of potential, but dear god the editing was absolutely atrocious.

I'll be real, I'll never understand why people hate the last third of the movie; I thought they appropriately built towards it, the outcome of the crew of the first mission was always questioned up to that point, and the captain of said crew was mentioned multiple times prior to that point.

There was definitely a change in tone, but I personally don't think that detracted from it.

I've seen it twice in theaters. It's awesome. In my opinion, even better than the Alien movies.

The Fly. Cronenberg is almost always a hit with me

The Thing followed closely by Alien.

i watched event Horizon and didn't really get the horror aspect out of it, but it's been a long time since I've seen it and I probably wasn't paying great attention either.

The Thing is winning, so all is right in the world.

i've only seen The Thing, Alien, The Fly and The Host of that list. (also seen the original Invasion of the Bodysnatchers).

Videodrome is by far my favorite sci-fi horror movie though, and one of my favorite films period.

Sunshine is a personal favorite movie of mine; it has some of the best cinematography of any horror movie I've ever seen, it's absolutely beautiful, and has some pretty intense moments.

A lot of people don't like the last third of the film because of a "plot twist", but personally I don't mind it and thought it was built up to well.
