it could fill a few slots with the Sonic Boom games but it's been a solid decade overall for him

Sonic Boom is so meme-worthy that it might not even do that bad if it got in the contest.

i had a dream last night that Sonic Mania got a 1 seed, I was pumped but it was against ME3 and I wasn't sure how it was going to go and I didn't want Sonic Mania to be the 1 seed that lost in R1

I think like at least 40% of my psyche is taken up by contest-related thoughts
