Hell no. I'm going to die younger than the average person just from all my risk factors that run through my family (mom's side): diabetes, heart disease, and cancer. I was told at 23 that needed to keep an eye on certain parts of my health as I already had some precursor signs of cancer and issues that come before cancer

No. That doesn't mean I feel like dying tomorrow, but it's something I can't stop. It always wins in the end, one way or another. I just hope it's swift

I've been around death for almost 20 years, helping people in their last years, months, weeks, and even moments. I have seen people die right in front of me. I could have been killed once myself. I don't worry myself about dying. I just wish to not suffer for years needlessly

I eat a mostly-plant-based diet. I limit the amount of processed foods I eat, save for bread and pasta because I love both of these. Bulk of my protein is from chicken, with some fish, beef, and pork. Minimal processed sugar intake. No soda. No coffee. More water than I know what to do with.

I exercise at least three times a week, for an hour or more.

I brush and floss my teeth at least twice a day, using a waterpik before I go to bed.

I do drink alcohol, but not everyday. Usually just on the weekends and socially with friends.

I don't smoke or chew, but I am around those who do, but not everyday. Same as above - usually just on the weekends and when I'm near friends.

No.

Maybe if aging is cured I will... but honestly I don't know if I care to live to 70 as it is. I'll probably intentionally fall down the stairs in minecraft before I hit 70. When dementia hits I'm out, no thanks guys.

Around don't get your hopes up/100

If aging is cured we're still looking at the entire human race wiping out due to lack of competence and coordination in like 300 years or so. When do people plan to stop polluting or procreating? Never? Yeah, so 300 years or so.

Overpopulation would very quickly become much more of a problem than anything if aging was "cured". 300 years? More like a couple generations.

As for the topic title, no, I don't take very good care of myself, though I'm still pretty healthy because of physically demanding work and a fortunate set of genes. I don't want to or plan to live forever though; life is a pain in the ass as it is, never having an end to it would be torture. =P

Besides, memento mori. Everyone dies. it's pointless and irrational to fear the inevitable.

Yeah, so if we cured aging we would have to slam on the breaks immediately, and we all know how good society is at changing habits.

I disagree. Overpopulation is kinda a problem that solves itself... as resources run out, more people die, fixing the curve.

I'm not. I have too many bad habits, and an very resistant to change. I have long accepted that I won't live long and will soon be wiped out by natural selection.

Absolutely not. I eat what I want, my sleep pattern sucks, spend a lot of time infront of a screen, drink alcohol and a drink a lot of Caffeine. I also have anxiety issues. Still I go on walks, eat veg and fruit but that's really the only healthy things I do. I maybe on the slim side but I'm not healthy.

I fear death the most in life but ironically that's the only thing that's inevitable for us all. Chances are I'll die of cancer anyway given my older sister and nan did so it runs in the family and I've had a stomach ulcer removed already. I'll probably die alone but I suppose none of this matters in the end anyway.

Nope. I believe your life is pre-planned. This is evidenced in the fact that healthy twenty-somethings die of heart attacks, good people die young and some people smoke and drink until theyre in their nineties and die of a natural cause.

Sure! 73 years old, stay active with golf, teaching in university extension, and working on sports cars. Healthy diet of pizza and craft beer alternating with lots of red meat with potatoes and gravy. No medication, not even aspirin, alcohol in moderation, plenty of black coffee.

Only 27 more years to my first 100!
