... then none of their problems would exist.

Revenge of the Sith
Anakin automatically knows force heal to save Padm because he's the chosen one

The Force Awakens
Luke isn't seduced by the dark side and trusts the good within Ben just like how Luke and Padm believed in the evil Darth Vader (traitor and murderer)

Padme wasn't injured. She died from a broken heart.

At that point Anakin didn't believe in the light side anyway.

And Luke panicked when he saw the darkness within Ben and ignited his lightsaber for a split second. He never would have killed him. But because of that we was never going to be the person who could bring Ben back. Same with Obi-Wan and Anakin.

Also, let's just gloss over the fact that Rey knew about Luke's story regarding Ben and was able to learn from it, while Luke just had it happen in a flash.

Anakin didn't know she would die that way though. He only suspected she would die during childbirth. If he could simply transfer some of his force essence or whatever into her I'm sure he wouldn't have been worried to the extent of joining the dark side.

So basically if Anakin trusted the Force and his friends instead of falling to the Dark Side over fear he would be okay?

Isn't that the point?

If Anakin wasn't Anakin then he would never have been Anakin, you see.

Anakin would also have been able to just heal his mom and peace the fuck out instead of slaughtering the sand people, avoiding his first step towards the dark side

But Rey has to know things for no reason

"Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith so powerful and so wise, he could use the Force to influence the midi-chlorians to create life. He had such a knowledge of the dark side, he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying"
Anakin: Nice story, but I can do that too.

Anakin didn't know that going to the dark side would lead to her death instead of preventing it either.

He had visions of her death. Having the ability to Force Heal doesn't change any of that. He wasn't even near her when she died. He also had visions of his Mother's death that he was also unable to prevent.

All of this was a manipulation of Palpatine to convert him to the dark side and turn him against the Jedi. There was never a scenario where he wasn't going to be fearful over her death.

Anakin was cocky, easy to manipulate, and quick to anger. There was no stopping his fall.

Anakin was a conflicted Padawan who went there in secret and would have been furious when he saw what they did to his Mother to begin with. I doubt it was something he even considered. Force Healing isn't even a new concept in Star Wars.

Does the Rey complaint also apply to *Mandalorian spoilers* baby Yoda?

EU force healing has always been completely at odds with the PT, but so have so many other EU stories that worrying about contradictions in the lore didn't even matter. The fact that it is in Episode 9 just shows the writers didn't care about being consistent with the PT, particularly as that power is only set up to mechanically explain how Ben dies to save Rey. No thoughts to greater world building were considered (just like most EU stories). And now the EU is going to have to jump through hoops to explain why they don't actually contradict, so that lore nerds can bring up some random book or cartoon episode that resolves this obvious inconsistency.

Now the real question is whether or not you care about that imo. If you don't really care about meticulous world building I don't see why it would matter.

This is the type of hindsight bias explanation I'm expecting from future Disney stories.

I'd say no. I always assumed Yoda's species was always connected to the force, like the Zeffo in Fallen Order.
