Should I say something, or just continue with 15 extra PTO days?

FMLA shouldnt hit your PTO if I understand it right. You wont get paid for that time but its a way to allow people to help family even after they have exhausted PTO.

My step mom did that when my dad had Cancer.

Did you get paid for them? Unpaid leave wouldnt use pto, and fmla isnt automatically paid leave. Just a means of excusing the absence while protecting your return to the job.

My boss told me I could choose to use PTO, which I did. Also my paychecks weren't affected.

My manager retires in February. I'm thinking about not using any PTO until after that, and just letting her rip
